We’re kicking off the weekend in true Swiss style — on the water! Join us aboard the MS Switzerland as we cruise across Lake Lucerne, surrounded by mountains, music, and a golden alpine sunset. Expect cocktails, a leisurely dinner, and plenty of time to toast the weekend ahead.
Dress code: Swiss Riviera Chic — a refined blend of summer cocktail and lake-cruise elegance. Linen suits, tailored separates, and polished sundresses are all welcome, along with soft textures, graceful silhouettes, and comfortable shoes suitable for the deck. Add your personal touch, such as a pair of sunglasses, a hint of shimmer, and a dash of lakeside glamour for the sunset.

Join us for an optional morning excursion to Mount Rigi, known as the “Queen of the Mountains.” Just above Lake Lucerne, Rigi offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps and surrounding lakes and is considered one of the most iconic viewpoints in Switzerland.
Guests will take the historic cogwheel train from Vitznau to the summit, where you can enjoy the scenery and explore at your own pace. Once at the top, you’re welcome to stroll the walking paths, take in the views, or stop for a coffee, champagne, or lunch at one of the mountain restaurants.
Everyone is welcome to return whenever they would like. The bride and groom plan to head back down around 12:30 PM, but feel free to stay and enjoy the mountain as long as you’d like. Guests who would like extra time to hike or explore are welcome to take an earlier train to the summit.
This outing is optional and weather permitting. Tickets for the cogwheel train can be purchased in advance through the Rigi Bahnen website.
Dress code: Casual attire and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
A private dinner for immediate family and the wedding party. Guests are welcome to join later that evening for cocktails at Château Gütsch.

Join us for an evening of cocktails and conversation at Château Gütsch following the rehearsal dinner. Overlooking Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains, this relaxed gathering offers a beautiful setting to reconnect, enjoy the view, and continue the festivities of the wedding weekend.
Shuttles will be available from Vitznau for guests who would like transportation. Guests are also welcome to enjoy dinner in Lucerne before arriving at Château Gütsch at 8:00 PM for the soiree.
Dress code: Alpine Cocktail — polished yet effortless. Think tailored suits, chic dresses, and refined summer fabrics in soft, seasonal tones. Elevated, comfortable, and made for a Swiss summer evening.

Surrounded by the lake and sweeping mountain views, we will gather together to exchange vows and celebrate the beginning of our next chapter. Following the ceremony, guests will continue the celebration with cocktails, dinner, and dancing.
Dress code: Black Tie — elegant evening attire suited for a summer celebration in the mountains. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear tuxedos, and ladies floor length gowns in elevated, timeless fabrics in soft, sophisticated tones.

Travel to Lake Lucerne
Here’s how to reach the lake and join us for our wedding weekend in Vitznau.
Flights
We recommend flying into Zurich International Airport (ZRH), the closest major airport to Lake Lucerne. Zurich is well connected with daily international flights and is approximately one hour by car or two hours by train and boat from Vitznau.
Ground Transportation
From Zurich, guests can reach Vitznau in several ways:
Private Transfer: The most direct and comfortable option. Private cars or hotel-arranged transfers can be booked in advance through your hotel concierge.
Rental Car: Zurich Airport offers numerous rental agencies; the drive to Vitznau is roughly 60 miles (95 km) and takes about one hour.
Train + Boat: Take the train from Zurich to Lucerne, then continue by scenic boat across the lake to Vitznau — a beautiful way to arrive for the celebration.
Taxi or Ride Share: Available at Zurich Airport and Lucerne train station, though advance booking is recommended in summer.
